Janice Sharp lives in Pasadena and has studied Botanical Art with Olga Eysymontt at the Los Angeles Arboretum Botanical Illustration Program as well as with many internationally recognized artists and teachers. Janice has exhibited her art at numerous forums in Southern California. Recently she has extended her love of nature to include weaving baskets from plant materials and other natural products.
Janice’s education includes a B.Sc. (Hons) with majors in Biochemistry and Microbiology and Ph. D. in Biochemistry from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia. Janice worked as a research scientist at Yale University and the University of California at Irvine. Janice returned to school to earn a law degree and is a member of the Bar of the State of California and the Federal Patent Bar.
Janice is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists, the Botanical Artists Guild of Southern California (where she currently serves as Treasurer and Exhibitions Chair), the Northern California Society of Botanical Artists and the Los Angeles Basket Guild.
